The Marijuana Conspiracy - THE REAL REASON HEMP IS ILLEGAL

Please also see the article titled "The Truth about Drugs". I've reposted this article here because Hemp is a very useful plant, and the conspiracy against it interests me, not because I believe it is ok to smoke cannabis to get "high". The best, REAL, "high" comes from direct contact with The Father.

The Marijuana Conspiracy

by dugx [at] sbcglobal [dot] net (Doug Yurchey)

And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land.

-- Ezekiel 34/29

MARIJUANA is DANGEROUS. Pot is NOT harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does NOT pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people.

The truth is if marijuana was utilized for its vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would ruin their companies.

Where did the word 'marijuana' come from? In the mid 1930s, the M-word was created to tarnish the good image and phenomenal history of the hemp you will read. The facts cited here, with references, are generally verifiable in the Encyclopedia Britannica which was printed on hemp paper for 150 years:

* All schoolbooks were made from hemp or flax paper until the 1880s; Hemp Paper Reconsidered, Jack Frazier, 1974.

* It was LEGAL TO PAY TAXES WITH HEMP in America from 1631 until the early 1800s; LA Times, Aug. 12, 1981.

* REFUSING TO GROW HEMP in America during the 17th and 18th Centuries WAS AGAINST THE LAW! You could be jailed in Virginia for refusing to grow hemp from 1763 to 1769; Hemp in Colonial Virginia, G. M. Herdon.

* George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers GREW HEMP; Washington and Jefferson Diaries. Jefferson smuggled hemp seeds from China to France then to America.

* Benjamin Franklin owned one of the first paper mills in America and it processed hemp. Also, the War of 1812 was fought over hemp. Napoleon wanted to cut off Moscow's export to England; Emperor Wears No Clothes, Jack Herer.

* For thousands of years, 90% of all ships' sails and rope were made from hemp. The word 'canvas' is Dutch for cannabis; Webster's New World Dictionary.

* 80% of all textiles, fabrics, clothes, linen, drapes, bed sheets, etc. were made from hemp until the 1820s with the introduction of the cotton gin.

* The first Bibles, maps, charts, Betsy Ross's flag, the first drafts of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were made from hemp; U.S. Government Archives.

* The first crop grown in many states was hemp. 1850 was a peak year for Kentucky producing 40,000 tons. Hemp was the largest cash crop until the 20th Century; State Archives.

* Oldest known records of hemp farming go back 5000 years in China, although hemp industrialization probably goes back to ancient Egypt.

* Rembrants, Gainsboroughs, Van Goghs as well as most early canvas paintings were principally painted on hemp linen.

* In 1916, the U.S. Government predicted that by the 1940s all paper would come from hemp and that no more trees need to be cut down. Government studies report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees. Plans were in the works to implement such programs; Department of Agriculture

* Quality paints and varnishes were made from hemp seed oil until 1937. 58,000 tons of hemp seeds were used in America for paint products in 1935; Sherman Williams Paint Co. testimony before Congress against the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act.

* Henry Ford's first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the CAR ITSELF WAS CONTRUCTED FROM HEMP! On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, 'grown from the soil,' had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel; Popular Mechanics, 1941.

* Hemp called 'Billion Dollar Crop.' It was the first time a cash crop had a business potential to exceed a billion dollars; Popular Mechanics, Feb., 1938.

* Mechanical Engineering Magazine (Feb. 1938) published an article entitled 'The Most Profitable and Desirable Crop that Can be Grown.' It stated that if hemp was cultivated using 20th Century technology, it would be the single largest agricultural crop in the U.S. and the rest of the world.

The following information comes directly from the United States Department of Agriculture's 1942 14-minute film encouraging and instructing 'patriotic American farmers' to grow 350,000 acres of hemp each year for the war effort:

'...(When) Grecian temples were new, hemp was already old in the service of mankind. For thousands of years, even then, this plant had been grown for cordage and cloth in China and elsewhere in the East. For centuries prior to about 1850, all the ships that sailed the western seas were rigged with hempen rope and sails. For the sailor, no less than the hangman, hemp was indispensable...

...Now with Philippine and East Indian sources of hemp in the hands of the Japanese...American hemp must meet the needs of our Army and Navy as well as of our industries...

...the Navy's rapidly dwindling reserves. When that is gone, American hemp will go on duty again; hemp for mooring ships; hemp for tow lines; hemp for tackle and gear; hemp for countless naval uses both on ship and shore. Just as in the days when Old Ironsides sailed the seas victorious with her hempen shrouds and hempen sails. Hemp for victory!'

Certified proof from the Library of Congress; found by the research of Jack Herer, refuting claims of other government agencies that the 1942 USDA film 'Hemp for Victory' did not exist.

Hemp cultivation and production do not harm the environment. The USDA Bulletin #404 concluded that hemp produces 4 times as much pulp with at least 4 to 7 times less pollution. From Popular Mechanics, Feb. 1938:

'It has a short growing season...It can be grown in any state...The long roots penetrate and break the soil to leave it in perfect condition for the next year's crop. The dense shock of leaves, 8 to 12 feet above the ground, chokes out weeds.
...hemp, this new crop can add immeasurably to American agriculture and industry.'

In the 1930s, innovations in farm machinery would have caused an industrial revolution when applied to hemp. This single resource could have created millions of new jobs generating thousands of quality products. Hemp, if not made illegal, would have brought America out of the Great Depression.

William Randolph Hearst (Citizen Kane) and the Hearst Paper Manufacturing Division of Kimberly Clark owned vast acreage of timberlands. The Hearst Company supplied most paper products. Patty Hearst's grandfather, a destroyer of nature for his own personal profit, stood to lose billions because of hemp.

In 1937, Dupont patented the processes to make plastics from oil and coal. Dupont's Annual Report urged stockholders to invest in its new petrochemical division. Synthetics such as plastics, cellophane, celluloid, methanol, nylon, rayon, Dacron, etc., could now be made from oil. Natural hemp industrialization would have ruined over 80% of Dupont's business.

Andrew Mellon became Hoover's Secretary of the Treasury and Dupont's primary investor. He appointed his future nephew-in-law, Harry J. Anslinger, to head the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.

Secret meetings were held by these financial tycoons. Hemp was declared dangerous and a threat to their billion dollar enterprises. For their dynasties to remain intact, hemp had to go. These men took an obscure Mexican slang word: 'marihuana' and pushed it into the consciousness of America.

A media blitz of 'yellow journalism' raged in the late 1920s and 1930s. Hearst's newspapers ran stories emphasizing the horrors of marihuana. The menace of marihuana made headlines. Readers learned that it was responsible for everything from car accidents to loose morality.

Films like 'Reefer Madness' (1936), 'Marihuana: Assassin of Youth' (1935) and 'Marihuana: The Devil's Weed' (1936) were propaganda designed by these industrialists to create an enemy. Their purpose was to gain public support so that anti-marihuana laws could be passed.

Examine the following quotes from 'The Burning Question' aka REEFER MADNESS:

  • a violent narcotic.
  • acts of shocking violence.
  • incurable insanity.
  • soul-destroying effects.
  • under the influence of the drug he killed his entire family with an ax.
  • more vicious, more deadly even than these soul-destroying drugs (heroin, cocaine) is the menace of marihuana!

Reefer Madness did not end with the usual 'the end.' The film concluded with these words plastered on the screen: TELL YOUR CHILDREN.

In the 1930s, people were very naive; even to the point of ignorance. The masses were like sheep waiting to be led by the few in power. They did not challenge authority. If the news was in print or on the radio, they believed it had to be true. They told their children and their children grew up to be the parents of the baby-boomers.

On April 14, 1937, the Prohibitive Marihuana Tax Law or the bill that outlawed hemp was directly brought to the House Ways and Means Committee. This committee is the only one that can introduce a bill to the House floor without it being debated by other committees. The Chairman of the Ways and Means, Robert Doughton, was a Dupont supporter. He insured that the bill would pass Congress.

Dr. James Woodward, a physician and attorney, testified too late on behalf of the American Medical Association. He told the committee that the reason the AMA had not denounced the Marihuana Tax Law sooner was that the Association had just discovered that marihuana was hemp.

Few people, at the time, realized that the deadly menace they had been reading about on Hearst's front pages was in fact passive hemp. The AMA understood cannabis to be a MEDICINE found in numerous healing products sold over the last hundred years.

In September of 1937, hemp became illegal. The most useful crop known became a drug and our planet has been suffering ever since.

Congress banned hemp because it was said to be the most violence-causing drug known. Anslinger, head of the Drug Commission for 31 years, promoted the idea that marihuana made users act extremely violent. In the 1950s, under the Communist threat of McCarthyism, Anslinger now said the exact opposite. Marijuana will pacify you so much that soldiers would not want to fight.

Today, our planet is in desperate trouble. Earth is suffocating as large tracts of rain forests disappear. Pollution, poisons and chemicals are killing people. These great problems could be reversed if we industrialized hemp. Natural biomass could provide all of the planet's energy needs that are currently supplied by fossil fuels. We have consumed 80% of our oil and gas reserves. We need a renewable resource. Hemp could be the solution to soaring gas prices.

Hemp has a higher quality fiber than wood fiber. Far fewer caustic chemicals are required to make paper from hemp than from trees. Hemp paper does not turn yellow and is very durable. The plant grows quickly to maturity in a season where trees take a lifetime.

ALL PLASTIC PRODUCTS SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP SEED OIL. Hempen plastics are biodegradable! Over time, they would break down and not harm the environment. Oil-based plastics, the ones we are very familiar with, help ruin nature; they do not break down and will do great harm in the future. The process to produce the vast array of natural (hempen) plastics will not ruin the rivers as Dupont and other petrochemical companies have done. Ecology does not fit in with the plans of the Oil Industry and the political machine. Hemp products are safe and natural.

MEDICINES SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP. We should go back to the days when the AMA supported cannabis cures. 'Medical Marijuana' is given out legally to only a handful of people while the rest of us are forced into a system that relies on chemicals. Pot is only healthy for the human body.

WORLD HUNGER COULD END. A large variety of food products can be generated from hemp. The seeds contain one of the highest sources of protein in nature. ALSO: They have two essential fatty acids that clean your body of cholesterol. These essential fatty acids are not found anywhere else in nature! Consuming pot seeds is the best thing you could do for your body. Eat uncooked hemp seeds.

CLOTHES SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP. Hemp clothing is extremely strong and durable over time. You could hand clothing, made from pot, down to your grandchildren. Today, there are American companies that make hemp clothing; usually 50% hemp. Hemp fabrics should be everywhere. Instead, they are almost underground. Superior hemp products are not allowed to advertise on fascist television. Kentucky, once the top hemp producing state, made it ILLEGAL TO WEAR hemp clothing! Can you imagine being thrown into jail for wearing quality jeans?

The world is crazy...but that does not mean you have to join the insanity. Get together. Spread the news. Tell people, and that includes your children, the truth. Use hemp products. Eliminate the word 'marijuana.' Realize the history that created it. Make it politically incorrect to say or print the M-word. Fight against the propaganda (designed to favor the agenda of the super rich) and the bullshit. Hemp must be utilized in the future. We need a clean energy source to save our planet. INDUSTRIALIZE HEMP!

The liquor, tobacco and oil companies fund more than a million dollars a day to Partnership for a Drug-Free America and other similar agencies. We have all seen their commercials. Now, their motto is: ‘It's more dangerous than we thought.’ Lies from the powerful corporations, that began with Hearst, are still alive and well today.

The brainwashing continues. Now, the commercials say: If you buy a joint, you contribute to murders and gang wars. The latest anti-pot commercials say: If you buy a are promoting TERRORISM! The new enemy (terrorism) has paved the road to brainwash you any way THEY see fit.

There is only one enemy; the friendly people you pay your taxes to; the war-makers and nature destroyers. With your funding, they are killing the world right in front of your eyes. HALF A MILLION DEATHS EACH YEAR ARE CAUSED BY TOBACCO. HALF A MILLION DEATHS EACH YEAR ARE CAUSED BY ALCOHOL. NO ONE HAS EVER, EVER DIED FROM SMOKING POT!! In the entire history of the human race, not one death can be attributed to cannabis. Our society has outlawed grass but condones the use of the KILLERS: TOBACCO and ALCOHOL. Hemp should be declassified and placed in DRUG stores to relieve stress. Hardening and constriction of the arteries are bad; but hemp usage actually enlarges the arteries...which is a healthy condition. We have been so conditioned to think that: Smoking is harmful. That is NOT the case for passive pot.

Ingesting THC, hemp's active agent, has a positive effect; relieving asthma and glaucoma. A joint tends to alleviate the nausea caused by chemotherapy. You are able to eat on hemp. This is a healthy state of being.

{One personal note: During the pregnancy of my wife, she was having some difficulty gaining weight. We were in the hospital. A nurse called us to one side and said: ‘Off the record, if you smoke'd get something called the munchies and you’ll gain weight.' I swear that is a true story}.

The stereotype for a pothead is similar to a drunk, bubble-brain. Yet, the truth is one’s creative abilities can be enhanced under its influence. The perception of time slightly slows and one can become more sensitive. You can more appreciate all arts; be closer to nature and generally FEEL more under the influence of cannabis. It is, in fact, the exact opposite state of mind and body as the drunken state. You can be more aware with pot.

The pot plant is an ALIEN plant. There is physical evidence that cannabis is not like any other plant on this planet. One could conclude that it was brought here for the benefit of humanity. Hemp is the ONLY plant where the males appear one way and the females appear very different, physically! No one ever speaks of males and females in regard to the plant kingdom because plants do not show their sexes; except for cannabis. To determine what sex a certain, normal, Earthly plant is: You have to look internally, at its DNA. A male blade of grass (physically) looks exactly like a female blade of grass. The hemp plant has an intense sexuallity. Growers know to kill the males before they fertilize the females. Yes, folks...the most potent pot comes from 'horny females.'

The reason this amazing, very sophisticated, ET plant from the future is illegal has nothing to do with how it physically affects us…..

ps: I think the word ‘DRUGS’ should not be used as an umbrella-word that covers all chemical agents. Drugs have come to be known as something BAD. Are you aware there are LEGAL drugstores?! Yep, in every city. Unbelievable. Each so-called drug should be considered individually. Cannabis is a medicine and not a drug. We should DARE to speak the TRUTH no matter what the law is.

In having growen up in the 70s, seems so much violence at present is due to real drugs, ie coke, crack, speed other narcotics,. I feel the story very informative, well done. We shall overcome one day. Peace.

They don't allow it because

They don't allow it because it aids you in (out side the box) thought and it points people towards new horizons. This is what the elite fear, people who think as individuals and start up groups and movements. Any thing can become bad if you don't know how to moderate. That's the secret of life.
Anonymous's picture

that's stupid, do you think

that's stupid, do you think "the elites" (aka, evil rich people who dont give a shit about anyone else but themselves) sat down and smoked weed, then concluded this is why weed MUST become illegal? I dont think so. If you actually read all of that facts without becoming opinionated a wrote the comment. You would see that that is the exact reason weed is illegal. Billionaires wanting to remain billionaires (including the elites)

Give This Greater Credibility

Please add further references to the non-quotation facts in this that I and others may post it elsewhere without shame. None of us want the public to take the responsibility for repairing and guiding us. Although I do not use Marijuana, or think Hemp would provide a significant enough benefit to our society to condone its use, prohibiting often brings about worse evils than that prohibited.
Anonymous's picture

HOW THE FUCK can you not

HOW THE FUCK can you not think that its uses cannot benefit society? You want people to starve? You want forrests to be cut down to nothing (killing anything in its path)? You want us to keep on using oil and polluting the earth?

Let me tell you, there's something wrong with your head. Smoke some weed and you might find these thoughts change.

cannabis is good

cannabis has a infinite number of uses from just your typical recreational to actual medical to a fuel source and biodegratable plastics and clothing

REally, condoning gives worst

REally, condoning gives worst outcomes than prohibiting. Let's look at history, the prohibition of alcohol in the united states. What happened, how many people died in the struggle to make, and consume illegal alcohol. How many mobsters rose up to make millions of a prohibited drug? It is the same with all drugs, I understand certain evils around drugs like, crack cocain, crocodile, etc. Because they are ultra addictive and change the person completely. But prohibiting other drugs, like marihuana only promotes dealers and growers to arise to make a ton of money from a prohibited product. History isn't on your side on this.

Wonderful article, truely inspiring The truth about this wonderful and majestic plant that hs the power to vastly improve our world must be told, you are seriously a prophet. The REAL Conspiracy

Excellent article - well researched and well put together. I agree with scarysquirrel that some more references would prove useful.

On a lighter note, the I just read a great marijuana conspiracy article: Big business created marijuana to keep environmentalists on the couch and off the picket lines. (The snackfood industry helped out so they could keep people munching down potato chips at 3am.)

...OK, so it's a load of rubbish and slightly offensive, but it's meant in good humour. Full article at

I am not denying that there

I am not denying that there are hidden interests about keeping hemp illegal but we should also think about the consequences for legalizing the drug, I am really skeptical about that. I tried marijuana out of curiosity and it didn't seem to me that this is a "safe" drug, on the contrary, I got really scared and at the moment I thought that I would die.

This is what happens to most

This is what happens to most first time smokers, it happened to me. But, I tried it the second time and I was fine. I think it's because your brain can't cope with the consiousness expanding properties first time. If you try it again - and with a smaller dose - then trust me, you will find it a lot different from you first time experience. You just smoked too much, you thought you were going to die, but you didn't. If you drink too much alcohol, you WILL die. If you take too much asprin, that will be your last headache. ANY other drug you take will kill you if too much is taken. Just give it another go man. The reason that many people get paranoid is because of the fact that it is illegal.

Anonymous's picture

The reason why anybody gets

The reason why anybody gets scared when they smoke marijuana is because they are scared they will get caught! Its Illegal, and having marijuana can get you jail time, of corse you were scared!!! DUH! I have smoked for almost 12 years now and I still get a few episodes of parranoia, because Im in a situation that is not comfortable, like being in public and smoking. Ive smoked some pot waaay back in the day with some friends and I remember that I could feel the blood pumping through my body, a truly speritual experence!

You probably smoked an indiga

You probably smoked an indiga cannabis which contains higher THC (tetrahydrocannabinoids) levels and lower CBD (cannabidiol) levels.
THC is the chemical that causes a phsycoactive effect or the "high". Along with that effect it also causes paranoia, anxiety, social withdraw, a hindered ability to preform motor functioning, and ect. The CBD is present to counteract all of those effects from THC.
When marijuana is being cultivated for use by ingestion both sativa and indiga contain around 5-10% (or more)THC levels. Sativa however, always contains a higher level of CBD then indiga does. The presence of higher CBD levels along with high THC levels causes a much more functional and socially capable intoxication. Because although you are still "high" you are less likely to totally wig out, if you will :). Thus it's use by medicinal despencaries for daytime prescriptions.
Anyways, hemp comes from the sativa cannabis I just mentioned. BUT, it is not chemically cultivated at all the same as marijuana. Hemp actually contains very little THC content and very high CBD content compared to marijuana. In fact if you were to expose marijuana crop to hemp crop the hemp would cause the THC in the marijuana to decrease substantially. To the point that the marijuana crop would be mostly ruined for it's original purpose. So if by "drug" you mean to say that hemp is a mind altering substance in any way, that is entirerly false. Hemp contains around 1% THC levels. It is impossible to get high from hemp. If you tried, it would prove pointless and just give you a headache. To catch a buzz from the chemical make up of hemp would require litteraly smoking yourself to death in order to get enough THC in your system.

I have only one question toward the biblical reference at the top of this page. Your reference of the scipture is it speaking as a plant or plants (of renown) or are you identifying Jesus Christ, in the old testament, as is the correct meaning.
Awesome article...thanks for the info.

I concur

I know a lot of controversy here, first alcohol is more dangerous than weed. More violent crimes have been committed while under the influence of alcohol. The gov. permits it to be served in public places of biz. then the patron gets in a car and tries to operate the car in a controlled manor. Yea right! While John or Jane Q. Public sits at home with the blinds drawn the doors locked and smokes a little weed fearing that John Law doesn't appear at the door. Weed has been used for 100's of years for a variety of reasons and purposes. Hemp is still legal in most places used to make rope, clothes and many other assorted items. The myth of it leading to other drugs is widely used to perpetuate fear to some non users, it is just simply not true! If the Gov. started taxing weed 30 years ago think about the revenue it could have already created. Instead it has clogged up the court systems and jailed the so called guilty. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there is a real conspiracy connected with weed. I for one have smoked and have never committed a felony or been arrested, have held jobs for not less than 8 years, oh yea the only felony I did commit was have a controlled substance and under the influence of that substance although I have never been caught. I am totally against harder chemical drugs and do not do or surround myself with users of those kinds of substances. I have a strong enough will to use or not to, I haven't smoked it in a couple of years but if one day I choose to maybe I will depends on my mood and circumstances. As for supporting out of country terrorists, I only purchase local grown product and am helping the local economy. Fear drives some non users to be so paranoid, ever notice who provides the media with T.V. ads? Yea that's right the Gov.. According to medical circles you don't actually get contact highs and it does not collect in the bodies system enough to detect. I must admit smoking is not good for you but there are other ways of activating the THC in weed to be useful. Cooking, making tea and heating weed is probably the best way to achieve the results that one desires. I would like the readers to know by the way it isn't the weed that makes me a horrible speller just ask anyone that knows me here and they will tell you I just don't spell worth a d***. To all you that are about to indulge, fire it up.

This is just a small portion

In this artical (very good artical I may add) is only the tip of the iceberg, I have only one thing to say to add to this. like it was said hemp/cannabis is an alien plant that conducts more resources then the poisonus resources we have out there. isn't it Ironic that oil can produce plastics, gas, and other oil based products but we can get the simalar traits out of hemp as we can oil, but can you make clothes from oil, nope but you can hemp, can you make food from oil, nope but you can with hemp (with out a high) don't mistake hemp for marijuana, you can make medicines that wont kill you, you can smoke 13 joints and be high but not feel dead, take 13 asprin that will be your last head ache. you can die from alchol but it's leagal so why leagalize poisonus medicines, and beverages but you have our number one resource in the world illegal. All I have to say is thank you corporate america for making our economy in the state it is now by poisioning the world.

there is a real difference between hemp and cannabis.. i.e. the thc content in cannabis being anywhere from 3-22 percent depending on quality, made specifically to get you high. the thc content in hemp is anywhere from .3 percent to 1 percent. so your argument that everyone was growing hemp and smoking weed is totally false. not to mention the biblical reference that is insulting to me that you would connect weed to the bible hahahah. this article is so completely bias its funny.

The plant known as Industrial Hemp is low in TCH but it essentially the same family as Cannabis (that full name by the way is Cannabis-Hemp AKA Marijuana). Cannabis is the Female of the species and likely grew in mixed stands, with a select few females segregated to increase the potency of the recreational and medicinal properties by the founding fathers of our nations within North and South America. They were a smart bunch of people back in the day, but the 19th century kind of stupefied our leaders and created the mess we live with today.

woody's picture

How & When?

Most of us who are conscious already realize how & why the propaganda was started and of the history of cannabis.

Now that the industrial giant corporations have sided up with the banks & governments, I would imagine there being no conceivable possibility regarding the legalization of cannabis. So 'How & When', referring to making the plant legal, was a sarcastic remark because it will never happen. If there were not so many bad/corrupt world leaders, our planet could be a better & more friendly place...

I found it quite amusing and somewhat mind boggling, that a plant like hemp could and does intimidate those whose financial superpowers could be affected.

Important argument: around

Important argument: around 1930, after many meetings amount those Americans..., that speak English, why they decided to "invent", to come with name "marijuana" instead of Hemp? For me it was to dupe people, on that time; and if the people promptly have heard something against Hemp -- logically everybody would reject what Those said.

Okay, I'm writing an assignment, and stumbled upon this article.
I kinda read a lot of it, but then got bored of this whole conspiracy thing.
It's interesting and useful and will possibly lead me onto other such articles.
I would love links or referencing to scientific articles which I can then follow up to read further into everything you have said about the Cannabis Plants.

However, at the end, where you said "Hemp is the ONLY plant where the males appear one way and the females appear very different, physically! No one ever speaks of males and females in regard to the plant kingdom because plants do not show their sexes; except for cannabis. To determine what sex a certain, normal, Earthly plant is: You have to look internally, at its DNA."

Is complete and utter nonsense. There are many instances of plants showing separate male and female organs. A pine tree, for instance, is a hermaphrodite, with SEPARATE organs which are completely independent of one another.
The moss plant is also another one, having separated male and female organs.
Just about every plant I can think of actually has separated male and female parts.
Most are hermaphrodites, granted, but there are instances of male and female separate plants.

That alone makes me question the rest of your article, considering you're basing a lot of it off of conspiracy theories, 'scientific evidence', and opinions.

Please link to actual scientific publishings please. I would love to know more about your more, assumingly, correct information.

And also, the part about only

And also, the part about only able to determine sex through DNA?
No, the genotype is not the only way to determine sex, and even then, the plants would share DNA, being indistinguishable between 'males and females' in the case of hermaphrodites. You wont be able to tell WHERE the male and female cones on a pine will be made, for instance, but once they're there, you can simply gaze upon them and agree upon the type of cell (egg/ovule or sperm/pollen) that is produced there.

Pa-lease do research.

Legalize It!

Legalization of Hemp
People of our country, stop and think about what I am about to tell you. The topic I will be discussing has been discussed before and has been ignored or thought of as ridiculous, but please follow along with me. Hemp shouldn’t be illegal! Exactly what harm does it to do to you or your body? Many people die a year due to alcohol and drunk driving. People get lung cancer from smoking cigarettes and get mouth cancer from chewing tobacco. Marijuana is used in the process of trying to treat cancer or slow down its effects.
Since the start of America, hemp has been grown. Our presidents grew it and wars were fought over it. The war of 1812 was fought over hemp! Napoleon wanted to cut off Moscow’s export to England. The first Bibles, maps, charts, Betsy Ross's flag, the first drafts of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were made from hemp! Does it really do harm to ones self? Does it do all the things you were brought up to believe it does? Does it really kill you? The government only illegalized it, because it would take money from tobacco companies which are oligopolies, which are controlled by the government. Sounds a little fishy am I right?
Stop and really think about why hemp is illegal. What did you come up with? Stuff like “oh it makes you do dumb stuff” or “it is bad for you and is worse than smoking cigarettes” Well I’m here to tell you that that is a lie! Hemp when smoked or put into the body in some way does very little to no harm to your body nor mind. If someone has done something stupid while “high” it’s usually: 1. Trying to show off or be cool in front of friends or someone. 2. Well, they are just idiots! What marijuana does when consumed is relax the body and mind. It allows for clearer thought and better concentration. The reason doctors prescribe marijuana to cancer patients is because it slows down the cancer cells and stops them from multiplying as rapid and excessive as they normally do. People don’t understand this plant. They think “oh it can get you high”, look around people! There is a lot of plants out there that can do that or even more to you if consumed!
Hemp is used to make clothing. 5000 years ago Chinese used hemp to make clothing and used it as parchment to write on. Throughout the world, hemp has been used as a resource. So the government is going to illegalize it now? You give me a very good reason why hemp should be illegal and I will drop my argument and not speak of it again. You can’t really give me a good reason except, “it builds up tar in your lungs”. Yeah so does cigarettes, but yet they are legal. They fact of the matter is, people think the feeling that marijuana gives you when consumed is a bad thing. Well it’s not. I have done my research on hemp concerning the goods it can do, the things it has been used for and still is being used for, and the effect it can have on the human body and mind. If it was bad and extremely harmful, I wouldn’t be here practically defending it.
You all have a right to your own opinion and thought. I’m just here to open your eyes and see the truth about this misunderstood plant. This probably isn’t the best speech ever, but you tell me when you’ve seen a 17 year old teenager writing something like this. Just stop and think people. Does this plant really do what you think it does? Has everything you’ve heard about it been truth or a lie?

This is my speech i wrote for english III. voice opinions please to colton [dot] palmer12 [at] gmail [dot] com

The mad part is that the

The mad part is that the government stand to make a huge amount of revenue if they legalise cannabis. It would be a definite end to the recession especially after they finish putting taxes on it. Then the health benefits cannabis has the government needs to open its eyes to se what untapped potential cannabis has and we no the government likes tapping things as you no they go to war over oil but make war against cannabis think there on wrong side this time. Maybe there just to embarised to say the truth thinking we the people won't believe any thing that they say any more after all the lies surrounding cannabiss use so if they back cannabis they lose

Legal stupidity...

Legal stupidity is to create laws that do not reflect the normal behavior of society.

The MJ Stigma enables society to deny persons of their equal rights.
Sadly, Americans will accept this as "opportunity" never realizing until this type of practice negatively effects an aspect of their lifestyle of choice.

99.99999999999% of almost all things are not good or evil,

Its What you do with them that is either good or evil.

You can take high proof alcohol and put it in you and get behind the wheel of your car and go run some innocent other person down and kill them.

You can take that same high proof alcohol and put it in your car instead of in you and then drive safely and also not do as much pollution damage and be a better steward of our planet. Especially with an alcohol fuel cell to electric motor system rather then an internal combustion engine where you can get 10 times the mileage with even cleaner emissions (only H20 and CO2 at 1/10 concentration with no NOx).

He can take green coco leaves straight off the plant and chew them in your mouth to prevent high altitude induced physiological problems allowing you to climb to 14,000 feet or more without artificial oxygen support and keep a clear rational head on your shoulders.

You can take those same coco leaves and concentrate them into a white powder that you can blow your mind with and go nuts and go shoot up a mall because you think you are god and can do anything.

You can have a gun and keep it in your home for the legitimate reason to protect yourself and your family and die an old man in your bed never having to actually use it and being thankful for that.

You can use it to go shoot up that mall in the above example.

I personally love it as a fabric. It just lasts and lasts and lasts and it its naturally anti-microbial.

And the prohibition culture means I have to pay twice or more the price I should be able to get it for. Logically based just on agricultural costs-vs.-yields and processing costs hemp fabrics shouldn't be any more expensive then cotton fabrics if not cheaper.

Yet I end up paying through the nose for them. I'm sick of it !!! Still worth it since it lasts so much longer and it don't get all sweaty and stinky after only an hour or less of working in it like cotton but it still really annoys me that it logically shouldn't cost as much as it does and I shouldn't have to sew everything myself in order to have garments made from it, should be available on the rack right down at the regular store right next to all the cloths made from cotton.

And don't get me started on undergarments. Why is it that almost all men's undergarments are made from the most uncomfortable fabrics and fabrics that soak up moisture and stay damp and sticky like something rotting stuck to your skin in the most sensitive part of your body. Make your own using a hemp/silk blend that is over half hemp with the remainder silk and it is soooooooooo swwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet RELIEF !!!

And in continuation to my

And in continuation to my above comments in regard to "Its not the thing (whatever the thing may be) that is good or evil it is what you choose to do with it".

The negative experience I have personally had with hemp involved second hand smoke. I was in a restaurant and the guy at the next table decided to light up and start pumping smoke in my direction. Didn't smell like normal smoke but I didn't care I don't like having smoke with my meal so I asked to talk with the manager and asked the manager to deal with the problem of the other customer smoking in a non-smoking restaurant and me being directly down wind of said individual. The manager went and talked to the other customer and then came back to me and informed me that the guy was not smoking tobacco but rather marijuana and he had a medical use license and that the restaurant could be sued for depriving him of his "medication" if they made him leave or quite smoking it in the "smoke free" restaurant where others were being unwilling exposed to his second hand smoke.

I subscribe to a "Natural Law, Liberty" philosophy that everyone should be able to do whatever they want, but with the consequences of their choices hanging over them in balance such that if their choices under such Liberty violate the rights of others then you shall be held to consequence for said violation of the rights of others.

You want to smoke the stuff so long as you don't violate the rights of others doing so, well then fine, I don't agree with that use and I don't suggest it for multiple reasons but if your only messing up your own life I have no right to tell you not to do so.

We should not allow the pendulum to swing to far to the other side of the balance. Hemp users (all resulting product categories) have had their rights unjustly abused but that is not justification for allowing them to perpetrate abuse on innocent others going forward.
