"What was buried shall be rediscovered.
Truth shall be (revealed as being) the Seed of Life.
Press Release - 26/8/2000
Dear Editor,
Hope you and the team are well and in Good Spirit and that your mind is really open today!
We write to you from Co. Meath, Ireland, for the purpose of sharing some information which might be of great interest to you. In turn, this could help us gather the further support needed for an endeavour which certainly deserves it.
John Hill (a. k.a. "JAH"), author of "The King of kings' Bible": an authority like no other on Holy Scripture, and a man of extraordinary determination and discernment; whom we are pleased to count as our friend, and as an inspiration to many; has been leading the campaign in Co. Meath for around 2 and a half years now. The reason? The reticence of the Irish Minister for Heritage,
Sile de Valera T. D., [John Gormley in 2009] to use the discretionary power granted her by the official guidelines* under which she can "issue a license to dig to any person" and issue him a license-to-dig within an otherwise insignificant 2 metre square area of grass, at Tara (Co. Meath).* Policy and Guidelines, page 9, Section 26 (2) (as amended by Section 21 of the 1994 Amending Act) provides that the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, having consulted with the Director of the NMI, may at his or her discretion issue to any person a license to dig or excavate in or under any specified land for any specified archaeological purpose and may insert in any such license such conditions and restrictions as (he or she) shall think proper.'
Why does Mr. Hill wish to dig at that spot? Well, as you've probably guessed, it's all got to do with the famous "Lost" Ark of The Covenant. In the following pages, we will guide you through the essence of the story, which is the basis, or foundation of JAH's claim. There is a wide range of published literature and manuscript evidence on this subject, which has been thoroughly researched. These provide more than ample proof of the legitimacy of Mr. Hill's claim.
THE VOYAGE OF THE PROPHET JEREMIAH,
WITH THE ARK & QUEEN TEIA TEPHI
Introduction: To begin with, please allow us to state that we are fully aware of all the other claims that have been made in relation to The Ark, and that in most cases the immediate reaction of the reader or person who hears of a new claim will be: "Oh no, here we go again". Not surprising. Given the tendency of mankind to seek after power and glory, there have been numerous false claims by archaeologists and treasure-hunters, of having been chosen to rediscover The Ark and having been shown where It was. All these various claims have proved to be without foundation.
There are stories that The Ark is still in Israel (Mt. Nebo or Jerusalem) ; or in Ethiopia (Axum) ; or Egypt (Taphanes/Tannis or the Great Pyramid) ; or even in Scotland (Rosslyn Chapel), in possession of the Knight's Templars. It is even believed by some to be located in one of the many huge underground vaults of the Vatican.
Now, all these theories and rumours have been investigated and have been the subject of news coverage and numerous documentaries. It all makes for very interesting reading/viewing/listening and provokes a sense of awe, mystery and adventure in people's minds. There are very few subjects (if any) that surpass The Ark of The Covenant in arousing public interest. It never fails to attract interest in magazine features or documentaries. They and fictional stories on film have also helped to raise awareness and refresh the world's memory of what was; and still is; the single greatest and most significant artefact of all time, which has yet to be recovered upon Earth. But the crucial task at hand has to be the actual unearthing of The "Lost" Ark Itself. This is surely what everyone is really waiting for - the "real thing".
The only claim that has not yet had any significant coverage or media exposure whatsoever, is Mr. Hill's claim that The Ark rests in a subterranean chamber ("Mergech") at Tara, Co. Meath, Ireland. Why hasn't it? It is a fresh claim and one which no-one has been able to refute. Nor will it ever stand a chance of being refuted until the excavation is carried out. More to the point - it is extremely likely that it is the only true claim that has been made. Is that why this one has not been investigated? For that is indeed where The Ark appears to rest, as we hope you will help us to investigate and confirm. The actual unearthing of THE ARK would have to be the 'scoop' of a life-time. Hopefully you too will be there on the day, after having first helped to make it happen.
The story of how It got there is one of epic proportions, reminiscent of Moses and the escape of the 12 Tribes of Israel to the Promised Land as depicted in the film classic "The Ten Commandments" or even the legend of King Arthur. It revolves around a beautiful young Warrior-Queen (Teia Tephi) ; the mysterious figure of Jeremiah the Prophet and the young king of a far-away land (Eochaidh) who was destined, quite literally, to marry the woman of his dreams. Together, the three, with God's help, bring Peace and Prosperity to the island known as Inis Fail - "The Island of Destiny". Add to that an amazing escape from the clutches of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar; the long and adventure-filled voyage to what was then the End of the Earth; wars, bloodshed, tears and love, hope and joy, and it is not hard to see that this has all the elements that go to make an epic saga or a blockbuster movie. The final scene of this true story has yet to unfold.
In stark contrast to other cases; where the Knights Templars won't say if they have "It" or not, or some priest in Ethiopia won't let anybody see "It" . . . .. in this case, by simply excavating within the 2 metre square area of grass, we can either "bury" this claim or . . . .. who knows?
John Hill (JAH) certainly appears to know and this is apparent to all those who meet him. To anyone who has taken the time to speak to him, it is clear that his case seems to be flawless.
The Story (in brief): The Prophet Jeremiah; son of Hilkiah the priest; was the last person known to have The Ark in his possession. This is recorded in the Biblical account that bears his own name in the Old Testament. The question is - where did Jeremiah go and did The Ark go with him? Well, you won't find as many "Jerry's" (Jeremiah's) as you will in Ireland, anywhere else in the World! That, of course, does not prove anything on its own but it is another one of those countless little clues that pop up here and there once somebody begins to "warm to the trail" . . . . .
The Ark; which is believed to be a radio "hot-line" for talking directly to God; was secreted away from Jerusalem, after the City was overthrown by king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (Jeremiah 25:9-18). Zedekiah, the Israelite king, did not heed Jeremiah's warning about the imminent invasion and was imprisoned by the Babylonians. His sons; the only male heirs to the Throne; were killed in front of him before his eyes were put out by his captors, so that the last thing he ever saw was the sight of his sons being slain. Most of the inhabitants of Judaea were taken captive into Babylon. The year was 588 B. C.
The Ark was taken; along with the "Temple Treasures" and some of Israel's "Royal Treasures"; to Tahpanhes/Tannis in Egypt, by Jeremiah. There It was kept under guard by Milesians (Greek mercenaries) in the border Fortress of Tel Defneh, known to this day as "Quasr Bint el Jehudi", meaning "The Palace of the Daughter of Judah". That daughter being Teia Tephi, daughter of king Zedekiah of Jerusalem (who is mentioned in the Book of Jeremiah chapter 39). It is here in Egypt that the trace of Jeremiah and The Ark of The Covenant stops . . . .. in The Bible. It continues in the rare, unique and beautiful autobiography of that very same "Daughter of Judah", and in other historical documents, including ancient Irish manuscripts.
Jeremiah and king Zedekiah's daughter Teia Tephi had hidden in a cave under "The Holiest Place" (Solomon's Temple) where The Ark of The Covenant was also hidden, until Jeremiah's scribe Baruch came and told them that their way to Egypt was clear. However, The Ark did not remain in Egypt. It was taken to the Rock of Gibraltar on Its way to the British Isles (the End of the Earth), where It has been safely hidden for around 2,500 years.
God warned the survivors through Jeremiah, that they should not enter Egypt, for the Babylonians would surely go there next. The soldiers in the company called Jeremiah a liar and forced him and the king's daughters to go to Egypt with them. They were captured by the Egyptians and treated as prisoners, until they were brought before the pharaoh in Tahpanhes / Taphanes (Tannis). God softened the pharaoh's heart and he treated Jeremiah and the daughters kindly. They stayed there for some time, until Jeremiah was warned by God to move on again (Jeremiah ch. 44). By this time however, Teia's two sisters had grown accustomed to the "fleshpots of Egypt" and refused to go with them. They suffered the same fate as the Egyptians, who were conquered by the Babylonians exactly as Jeremiah prophesied.
The group left Egypt on a Tyrian ship piloted by Buchi, from the Tribe of Dan (Ezekiel 27:8). Buchi was accompanied by his son Boedan. The night of their departure was moonless and cloudy, with an easterly wind that blew for three weeks until they arrived in Carthage. They did not disembark but moored at the long fair wharf, where there were camel trains (with supplies for their onward journey).
The western sky was "blood" (red) and the sky over the land was "black" (sunset), when a hot desert wind blasted them from the South and blew them northwards for seven days, until they entered a little bay by the mouth of the River Tiber and anchored there. After having drawn lots to see who would go, Boedan went ashore to find out where they were. He captured a Roumi (Roman) chief called Julus (Julius), whom Jeremiah released from his bonds and he then told them where they were. He also warned them never to go near Rome if they valued their lives.
They set sail again and sailed cautiously between Corsica and Sardinia. In short space they came to Eber (Iberia/Spain) and drifted South in calms and so came to Gibraltar - "the Pen of the Cape", where ships go down (sink) ; the Rock that watches Africa and Iberia with the shape of a lion, guarding the Western Gate (The Strait Gate).
The Hebrew king of Gibraltar, Elier bar Ziza; after having mourned the fall of Zion (Jerusalem) and having fasted for six months; saw the sails of the company's ship far on the eastern sky as he was looking from Caer Melcarth (probably at Europa Point - the southernmost tip of Europe). Elier was from the Tribe of Gad and therefore a racial cousin of Jeremiah and Tephi, who were both from the House of Judah. The "Tribes" are the famous 12 Tribes of Israel, named after the 12 sons of Jacob/Israel, one of whom was called Judah.
Three hours before sunset the ship arrived at the Rock's strongly built Fortress. Jeremiah, the Prophet of God, called out and king Elier came and kneeled at his feet. Jeremiah then blessed the people but Elier asked for a special blessing from Princess Teia Tephi, who blessed him, the Rock and its town.
The people, who were Gadites, all spoke Hebrew with Jeremiah when he arrived, probably in the Autumn of 584 B. C. These inhabitants had set up an idol, one cubit high (18-22 inches), to Melcarth (Neptune). On being rebuked by Jeremiah for their idolatry, Simon, the son of king Elier, broke the idol and cast it into the sea, giving its trident to Teia Tephi. The Rock's name was then changed from Caer Melcarth to Caer Teia, for when people shouted the Princess' name, the Rock itself had shouted back her name (3 times). When the idolatrous priests of Melcarth and their followers shouted out Melcarth's name, the Rock remained silent.
The Ark was removed from the ship of Tyre, at king Elier's command, and placed in what is now called St. Michael's Cave, for safety, where it remained for five months until the winds changed and a Greek ship had been captured, which was then sailed, by Danites, to the British Isles. Having made the final part of its journey in a violent storm with a broken helm (tiller/rudder) ; oars and mast so that they could not steer the ship, and God alone could push it; without interference from the crew, exactly where He wanted it to go; it arrived at Marazion (Marah Zion Hebrew for "bitter for Zion") in Cornwall, England, near St. Michael's Mount, where the ship was repaired before going on to Ireland.
At Marazion, they were greeted by king Elatha, the Israelite ruler of Cornwall, who was also an ally of king Elier bar Ziza of The Gate (Gibraltar). The word "Saxons" stems from "Saac's Sons" or "Isaac's Sons". Similarly, the "Union of Jacob" has been shortened to the "Union Jack", Great Britain's flag. Brit (Berit) means Covenant in Welsh and Hebrew, and "ish" denotes "the People of". The British were, or are, descended from "The People of The Covenant - Israel". The Welsh actor Richard Burton always claimed that the Welsh were descended from one of the Lost 10 Tribes of Israel. It appears he might well have known what he was talking about.
No wonder, therefore, that the company travelled westwards. They knew that they were bound to encounter fellow Israelites from other Tribes along the way, who could help them and guide them on to their final destination. These Israelites were once part of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, who had been conquered and enslaved by the Assyrians in 722 - 721 B. C. (140 years earlier). A portion of the people however, managed to flee the region and get a "head-start" when the invaders first came, and so avoided becoming slaves for around a hundred years, unlike the rest of their compatriots. Once the period of their subjugation was over, the main branch of Northern Kingdom Israelites travelled westwards to join their brethren in western Europe and also to avoid any further confrontation with the powers in the East (Babylon, etc.). The Normans; Celts; Picts; Saxons; Scythians; etc. were really all branches of the same race of people, arriving with new names, at different times and by different routes.
There is a wealth of evidence that demonstrates the Hebrew/Israelites' travel westwards. Iberia (Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar) was once called "Eber" and later on "Heberia" (you can check on any fairly ancient maps), which means "Hebrew's Land". The word Iberia* itself is a corruption of Heberia. The first recorded instance of people inhabiting Gibraltar, in the City Fortress' Museum, was in 722 - 721 B. C. It describes them as "Phoenicians". Phoenicia was the region that encompassed what was then Israel. They arrived on the Rock in the same year that they fled their home-land of Northern Israel.
* Hibernia which is another name for Ireland denotes the "Hebrews new land" and the Hebrides denotes the Hebrew's Isles.
Continuing with the story - king Elatha sent a message to Ireland to request safe passage for the company. This was answered with a message of welcome and many gifts of gold and silver to Teia Tephi. The Irish kings had heard of her renowned beauty and grace, and some sought her hand in marriage. One of them, Eochaidh, sent his family's most treasured piece of jewellery. This was the "Sun of Helen of Troy" (a brilliant necklace, literally) that his sires had won as a spoil of war at the Battle of Troy, where his Judaite and Danite Greek ancestors of the Irish people, including Ulysses, had built their famous Trojan horse.
Elatha provided 53 ships and 2005 men, to escort Teia safely to Ireland. Jeremiah was advised at that point by God to carry The Ark of The Covenant in a separate ship. He was warned that there would be a rebellion and it was not yet safe to bring The Ark to its intended destination - Tara (Torah). He is said to have landed at Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, where he stayed until it was safe to travel South.
Teia Tephi, meanwhile, arrived with the main branch of the company at Pen Edair (Howth) near Ath Cliath (Dublin). She was greeted there and carried ashore by Eochaidh, the High king. Eochaidh had been given a vision as a child in which he was told he was not to marry, even if he reached middle-age, because someday his Queen would come from the East. When he received the message from king Elatha of Cornwall, that the Queen of Israel was coming from Jerusalem to live in Ireland, he realised that his wait was almost over and his boyhood prophetical vision was about to become reality.
Teia Tephi was then escorted to Cathair Crofinn now called the Hill of Tara (Co. Meath, Ireland), where she arrived on the 20th of June 583 B. C.. After the prophesied rebellion, Jeremiah met up with her at Tara. The rebellion came about because of some of the people's initial opposition to the Torah; the five Books of Law in the Old Testament; the originals of which were carried in The Ark, and from which the name "Tara" is derived. Eochaidh married Teia and helped her and Jeremiah institute God's Laws of Freedom throughout all Ireland. So began a Time of Peace, Prosperity and Justice for all, under God's Law.
They were crowned on the Coronation Stone - "Jacob's Pillar", "Stone of Destiny" at Tara. This was before the Stone was taken to Scotland, then later on to England. Now, the whereabouts of the Stone; which Jacob had used as a pillow and on which he had his famous dream/vision; is known only to a few individuals. Several copies of It have been crafted. One was beneath the Coronation Chair at Westminster Abbey, London; which is now on display in Edinburgh Castle, Scotland. Each claimed to have the real one but neither of them have It, as detailed study of photographs of the original will reveal.
The Ark was placed in a specially constructed subterranean chamber ("mergech") BENEATH (not within) the "Mound of The Hostages"* at Tara; along with Aaron's Breastplate and reputedly king David's Harp (the national emblem of Ireland) ; Samson's Bow (the Bow of Strength) and other significant artefacts. The tomb was then sealed up until the death of Teia Tephi when her body was then also placed in the "mergech"** and it was re-sealed.
* In the Old Testament, The Ark, along with other artefacts are collectively referred to as "the hostages" (as in "host" or "receptacle" of The Lord of Hosts . . . ..) - 2 Chronicles 25:24.
** Mergech is a Hebrew word; not Gaelic; denoting a resting place for treasure and this Hebrew word is used in the ancient Gaelic Irish manuscripts, when describing Tephi's Tomb - Dindsenchas: - TEAMAIR 2; line 19.
Once the Ark was safely sealed in Teia's future place of rest, Jeremiah's mission for God was complete. He died on the 21st of September, 581 B. C., and was buried in what is now called Cairn T at the Loughcrew Hills graveyard. The second large stone on the left as you enter Cairn T, depicts in hieroglyphics the Journey Jeremiah (Ollamh Fodhla) made from Jerusalem to Ireland and gives astronomical calculations which provide the date when Jeremiah died and of the Lunar Eclipse just before the Battle of Unna (the rebellion) was fought.
Teia Tephi left many prophecies in her autobiography, most of which have been fulfilled in exact and minute detail. The most important one is yet to be fulfilled and it states that she will, one day, be recovered from her resting place or Mergech at The Hill of Tara, along with The Ark of The Covenant.
Postscript (current status): We could have gone into a lot more detail but have limited ourselves to briefly outlining the story. A difficult task, for one has to leave out so much that is fascinating. Hopefully, we will have achieved our aim of capturing your attention so that you will be interested in knowing a bit (a lot?) more about it. Mr. Hill needs as much help and publicity from as many people and sources as possible, in order to persuade the Irish Minister for Heritage to permit the excavation within that tiny area of grass, so he can prove to everyone whether The Ark is there or not. The sensible thing to do, in sensible peoples' opinion?
The grass can be easily replaced by the way, and funnily enough, it seems that God chose the one country in the World that has the most "green grass to spare"! Even so, the Ministry for Heritage is surprisingly reluctant to do the right thing and let Mr. Hill prove, to all, that what he is saying is in fact correct.
The benefits to the media resulting from this story should be self-evident. All that is needed is to check this story out, "straight from the horse's mouth", as it were, by speaking to JAH. We are sure that you, like ourselves, will not be disappointed.
Most people who learn of this story are actually amazed that the media haven't picked up on this story and run with it yet. We'd like to think that the silence from news media is simply due to the fact that they haven't heard of this story yet, so we thought we'd give you the benefit of the doubt and tell you the story (a tiny part of it) ourselves. The news is spreading through word of mouth and via the Internet even now, slowly but surely, and has already reached all five continents.
JAH insists The Ark is at Tara. His opponents surprisingly do not want to 'call his bluff'. Government minister Sile de Valera T. D., [John Gormley in 2009] could resolve the matter tomorrow by permitting this miniscule excavation. So why are Sile de Valera T. D., [John Gormley in 2009] and her archaeologist advisors stone-walling Mr. Hill? Why are they placing obstacles in his path? Is it because they have assembled a version of Irish history "as they went along"? Will this "house of cards" collapse when Mr. Hill reveals the contents of the subterranean chamber at Tara to the world and confirms the veracity of the ancient Irish historical records, which these archaeologists have shunned in favour of their own theories?
Their "official" standpoint and excuse is that Mr. Hill is not a professional archaeologist and therefore is not entitled to carry out an "excavation" at The Hill of Tara. He has had to repeatedly explain to them that he is willing to have a professional archaeologist appointed to the "dig", so that no other possible unrelated ancient artefacts are damaged. But their reply is always the same: "he is not an official archaeologist". They refuse to address his proposal for one to be appointed at Sile de Valera's discretion. This has been going on for almost 2 and a half years. Funding for the dig has already been promised some time ago by a leading independent international documentary-film producer, if permission for the dig is granted by Sile de Valera T. D., [John Gormley in 2009]a. It is to be hoped that, with all the unnecessary delay caused by Sile de Valera; that offer still stands. If not then other sources of funding will need to be sought. Any other offers of financial support would be gratefully considered, including the offer of the services of an officially accredited (by Sile de Valera's ministry) archaeologist.
Several petitions have been collected personally by signatories of this letter to show the public's support for the Ark Discovery Programme excavation, with more than 90% of the people interviewed in favour and signing. The Minister has not been willing to make herself available to meet Mr. Hill to receive these petitions, even though; as well as writing to her to ask for an appointment; the local T. D. Deputy Johnny Brady has personally asked her to meet with Mr. Hill.
On behalf of the Ark Discovery Programme and our good friend Mr. Hill, we must ask for any help that you can provide. We would appreciate your help in highlighting this issue. Mr. Hill's many supporters, both locally and further afield, are impressed by the evidence he has succeeded in gathering, by his expertise and perseverance. The Minister for Heritage Sile de Valera might think she is determined, if so then she has more than met her match in the determination of Mr. John Hill. He says he will not give up or leave Inis Fail, Ireland - "The Isle of Destiny", without helping to ensure it fulfills that Destiny . . . . .
Among those associated with the Ark Discovery Programme there is likewise a common determination and a desire to lend support and to carry the campaign forward, which has been engendered by Mr. Hill's own commitment, charisma and unparalleled knowledge of The Bible and of this period of Ireland's ancient history. We feel that this cause is certainly deserving of the broadest possible support.
We would also like to emphasise that the location of The Ark of The Covenant has nothing whatsoever to do with archaeology. It is an historical and sociological phenomenon. So archaeological "experts" are not really in a good position to determine whether or not The Ark of The Covenant might rest where It does. And something like the possible discovery of The Ark, which is the world's heritage, should not be decided (impeded?) ; in our opinion; by one person, in one country, who is being wrongly advised by a few people with vested interests to protect. Whereas the fact is that the majority of people in Ireland and the rest of the world, if not actually supporting it, would have no objection to seeing the excavation go ahead, if they were told the full story.
Any type of help or positive suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. And, of course, the information is available and will be provided if you wish to produce a report or article on this subject. Yet our greatest wish remains, and that is that you would please contact John Hill himself for the full story (perhaps even an exclusive), which he alone is best qualified to tell.
We hope this message will have touched your hearts and minds and ignited a flame within you that will inspire you to join with us, in the quest to rediscover The Ark, which we expect shall enlighten the whole world.
Yours SINCERELY,
