More than a third of the American public suspects that federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East, according to a new Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll.

It never ceases to amaze me how stupid people on this planet are.

When Bush first took power he told the American people and the world exactly and very clearly what he was going to do and now everyone during his second term in office and years of him doing what he said up-front that he intended to do, people are acting surprised.
When he very first took office he told everyone very clearly that his job would be so much easier if he were a dictator, and followed it immediately by saying that he was going to make some "good laws"* - to enable himself to become a dictator, stupid.
It was right then, at that very moment that you should have removed him from power. Now it is too late.
* The ONLY "good laws" are God's Laws and God, in His Law, has prohibited men from legislating, on pain of death, so by definition any other "laws" are "bad laws" (Isaiah 5:20) enacted by Bush, Blair or whomever does so.
The moment Bush said he, being evil and disobeying God's Law, was going to make some "good laws" he should have been removed from power immediately.
Those who refuse to learn the lessons of history (His Story - Bible) are doomed to repeat them.

To turn our eyes momentarily from the terrifying war in the Middle East is to discover an ever-more ominous turn in the Bush administration's war on terror.
Having been barred by the Supreme Court from treating foreign terrorism suspects as if they had few — or no — legal rights, the president's initial response is not to comply with the high court's finding that detainees must be treated under accepted standards of international law. In fact, the White House pushes to extend the ill treatment to American citizens.
That is, effectively, what the administration's draft of new rules for the military detention and trial of terrorism suspects would do. News and human rights organizations that have obtained the document, marked "deliberative draft — close hold," have criticized the way in which it would obliterate the Supreme Court's ruling. It seeks to have Congress write into law essentially the same procedures for military trials that the high court just said were illegal. That is, terrorism suspects still could be excluded from the courtroom, evidence could be withheld from the defense, and the Geneva Conventions — which the Supreme Court explicitly said must apply, would be circumvented.

I can't take it anymore.
Every morning, I sit at this keyboard and think this will be the day I rant about Israel's genocidal insanity and how George Bush splashes my hands with blood in furtherance of that derangement.
Then I feel a flush as my blood pressure starts moving up. I take one of those little pink pills the doctor prescribed. I walk around, swearing. I sit down. I get up. I mutter and stare at the ceiling.
I close my eyes tightly and try to push them back into my brain with my eyelids (old headache remedy).
I imagine little flecks of spittle collecting at the corners of my mouth.
This isn't writer's block. Sometimes, I wish I would get writer's block. That's when I picture myself blissfully settling into that chair on the back porch, drink in one hand and a good book in the other. No such luck. I feel more like a 4-inch hole in the fence through which about fifty cats simultaneously are trying to squeeze. Usually, they take turns. Not this time, though.
Have I finally lost it? I cannot begin to tell you how much I loathe and detest George W. Bush and virtually every single Administration figure you might think to name. What makes an American? What are the qualities -- the "ingredients," if you will -- that distinguish Americans from Germans, Mexicans, or the French?
Why is it that we feel a special right to be proud of who we are and what our country stands for? It's not just that we live in the most prosperous land on earth. It's not just that our country is a superpower, capable of imposing its will on smaller nations. It's not just that we enjoy the widest, most sparkling array of consumer goods ever known on the planet Earth. No. Being an American is something more than all that. An American is made, not merely born into a powerful country.
The problem of illegal immigration has been on everybody's minds these days. While immigrants give America cultural richness, new entrepreneurs, and hard-working laborers, some immigrants also bring crime, cultural disruption, and a drain on public services that's weakening our economy.
Many people want to build walls to keep illegals out. They want to militarize the border with enormous deployments of soldiers, razor wire, and surveillance equipment, not realizing just how vast our borders are. We have 7461 miles of borders in all, land and sea. Close one section and the tide of illegals will channel into another.
If it's impossible to keep drugs out of heavily guarded prisons, how will we fortify any border well enough to keep out millions of desperate human beings? And what kind of country will we have when we're surrounded by one huge "Berlin Wall"? 2 edge sword Walls aren't the answer. But neither, ultimately, are guest worker programs or any other political proposals.
It is almost embarrassing to be an American today. In the aftermath of being told that planeloads of people went to their death paralyzed in fear of a few petite men sporting box cutting knives we seem to have abandoned freedom and common sense. Last week the national media was filled with the sensational stories of how the FBI "thwarted" an "attack" on the Sears tower in Chicago by arresting a group of our poorest after provoking them to claim a desire to blow up the building. Most Americans seemed entirely unable to perceive that these events came down amid debate about bringing our troops home from Iraq. If a group of guys living in the worst of slums being mad at "the system" is the kind of threat that has caused us to abandon nearly all of our freedoms then we all ought to be ashamed.
THEY are desperately trying to totally disarm the people so that no-one can fight against the N. W. O. Big Brother that they have planned for you and George Orwell warned everyone about in his book 1984.
Hence they set up Hungerford, then Dunblane, Jonesboro, Columbine, Port Arthur, now anti-knife legislation and a knife amnesty to hand them all in and then they are going after airguns until there is no possibility of resisting them.
