As we go out to celebrate our freedom this 4th of July,
let's go over a few things to make your celebration a success.
 Before leaving home make sure you check the color coded Homeland Security alert status. Be especially careful if it is orange or red. Don't worry about yellow. It's always yellow.
Don't use any illegal fireworks in your 4th Celebration. It is for your own safety. And the founding father's implemented a government to protect you from yourselves. Didn't they? Besides, fireworks are explosive devices and you might be considered a terrorist with weapons of mass destruction. And although the government can't find any in Iraq, you can rest assured they will find them in your car trunk. But don't worry, getting arrested, imprisoned indefinitely without formal charges, and a 5 year wait before the secret tribunal trial per the Patriot Act is a breeze. It's that secret summary execution that should make you nervous.
Make sure you are buckled up in your seat belts, there will be roadblocks and checkpoints to make sure you comply. It is for the children.
If you are an airline employee, lighten up for the holiday, you can always look for a job tomorrow. Maybe you could transfer over to a Federal Airport Security Screener job. Big demand for those jobs and you don't have to be smart.
If you are a Halliburton employee, then celebrate, you probably have a raise coming from the Iraqi contract windfall.
If celebrating on any public property,
make no mention of religious ideals. Government is god there.
You will be aprehended.
Have your papers ready as you approach the holiday police checkpoints.
Don't criticize the President, or other government officials, you might be in violation of the Patriot Act and considered a possible terrorist.
Don't mention the Constitution in any district court,
or you could be held in contempt.
If your children get out of line this holiday,
do not discipline them,
or they may be kidnapped by the Dept. of Social Services and held hostage until you receive approved psychological therapy and are deemed acceptable.
Show compassion this Independence Day by bringing an illegal immigrant to your celebration, or by hugging a tree.

Probably one of the first times I have cried since my grandmother died some thirty years ago. Many people think I am a hard man. I try and comport myself with honor and integrity. The only sound in the darkness was the voice of a woman on the phone outlining her plans to awaken a sleeping citizenry with an accurate video version of the crime of the century. But when a man listens to a woman, he often doesn't hear her words, but instead drifts off into the uncharted narrative of his own dreams.
Fifty years ago I stood in the kitchen of my childhood. The giant glass of milk I always consumed before bedtime had accidentally crashed onto the kitchen floor, spewing a white Rorschach blot across the checkered linoleum. I loved milk, I told her. But her voice chided through the line: no adult animal drinks milk; it isn't healthy, because the excess protein putrefies in your digestive tract and catalyzes all manner of debilitating ailments.
So we learn what we thought was essential to our well-being may in reality be a recipe for needless misery, not to mention serious injury. This passing thought, this shattered glass in my memory, got me thinking about what we once learned was good and life-giving can with the right information lead to the realization that we are killing ourselves because we remain ignorant of basic facts.

This evolving image coalesced in my mind as she talked about the need to convince people that 9/11 was really an inside job inflicted on the American people by our own leaders. Hence this thought: what we thought was good and pure can, without accurate information, actually be a poison that we eagerly and happily guzzle down.
I have long insisted that the heart-wrenching trauma that was 9/11 is the key to understanding both the past and the future of American history. If you choose to accept the official version of these horrible events, you are continuing to ingest a poison that has killed millions of innocent people, and will surely kill millions more.

A good friend of mine said the Presidential "Elections" in the USA reminds him of the Muppet Show. I concurred fully, and decided to put this 2 minute clip together. 09/26/04 "ICH" The indiscriminate slaughter of Iraqi citizens in Fallujah, Najaf, Baghdad, Tel Afar, Kut and other Iraqi cities, the outrageous treatment of Iraqi prisoners of war and civilian detainees, and the destruction of the nation of Iraq have not registered in the Moral consciousness of the "civilised" Western world.
The US and its "coalition" alleged that its moral "messianic mission" is to promote and "build" democracy and end dictatorships around the world. Nothing could be further from the truth. The US atrocities in Latin America and other parts of the world produced corrupt and violent dictatorships. America's invasion of Iraq is colonial occupation and anti-democracy. The Iraqi people have only seen the massacres of their fellow citizens and the destruction of their nation.

On 31 August 2004, during the Republican National Convention in New
York City, around 1,200 people were arrested and sent to a makeshift
detention/processing center, which used to house city buses, at Pier
57. (Over 1,800 were arrested during the entire RNC.)
Images from inside the facility are rare. The photos and videos
featured here come from Jacob Richards and Connie Murillo, who were
arrested that day. A couple of these photos were posted to NYC
Indymedia, but Richards and Murillo have kindly allowed The Memory Hole
to post more photos and several videos....

Do you think he will share his expertise in "security" to prepare US citizens for domestic internal passports under the pretense of fighting the never-ending "War on Terrorism"?

I have lived through presidential elections since 1934. No matter who was elected president I do not recall even once where we, the voters, won. In the current TV popularity contest newsfermercials we are continually inundated with castigations by pundits from both sides warning us about how much worse off we will be if the bad guys on the other side win. As far as I can remember it has pretty much been this way for the past 70 years and so far the pundits on the losing side have been right every time, why should we expect it to be better in 2004?

 While the New York Times is busy with front page stories about 'rumors' that VP Cheney may have to go, the corporate press is working overtime to avoid front-page stories about the actual Hitler and Nazi Germany analogies that are coming from more and more establishment places.
A few examples help reveal the actual climate in today's Washington that the corporate media is either afraid to honestly report, or covering up to prevent the wider public from knowing.
A partner in a Washington law firm just a few blocks from the White House was seen standing outside the White House on a demonstration weekend with a sign proclaiming "Welcome to the Fourth Reich - Heil Bush!".
A Congresswoman from Florida spoke passionately on the floor of the House of Representatives yesterday about the 'coup d'etat' that brought Bush/Cheney to power in
2000 -- but her remarks were expunged from the Congressional Record by order of the Republicans who control.
Private conversations among insiders often use terms like 'neo-fascist' and 'police-state' to describe both the mentality and developments in Bush/Cheney/neocon Washington -- but these hardly ever make it into print and certainly not onto regular TV talk shows.
