1947 to 1951, FRANCE

According to Alfred W. McCoy in The Politics of Heroin in Southeast Asia, CIA arms, money, and disinformation enabled Corsican criminal syndicates in Marseille to wrestle control of labor unions from the Communist Party. The Corsicans gained political influence and control over the docks -- ideal conditions for cementing a long-term partnership with mafia drug distributors, which turned Marseille into the postwar heroin capital of the Western world. Marseille's first heroin laboratones were opened in 1951, only months after the Corsicans took over the waterfront.

EARLY 1950s, SOUTHEAST ASIA

The Nationalist Chinese army, organized by the CIA to wage war against Communist China, became the opium barons of The Golden Triangle (parts of Burma, Thailand and Laos), the world's largest source of opium and heroin. Air America, the ClA's principal airline proprietary, flew the drugs all over Southeast Asia. (See Christopher Robbins, Air America, Avon Books, 1985, chapter 9)

1950s to early 1970s, INDOCHINA

During U. S. military involvement in Laos and other parts of Indochina, Air America flew opium and heroin throughout the area. Many Gl's in Vietnam became addicts. A laboratory built at CIA headquarters in northern Laos was used to refine heroin. After a decade of American military intervention, Southeast Asia had become the source of 70 percent of the world's illicit opium and the major supplier of raw materials for America's booming heroin market.

1973-80, AUSTRALIA

The Nugan Hand Bank of Sydney was a CIA bank in all but name. Among its officers were a network of US generals, admirals and CIA men, including fommer CIA Director William Colby, who was also one of its lawyers. With branches in Saudi Arabia, Europe, Southeast Asia, South America and the U. S., Nugan Hand Bank financed drug trafficking, money laundering and international arms dealings. In 1980, amidst several mysterious deaths, the bank collapsed, $50 million in debt. (See Jonathan Kwitny, The Crimes of Patriots: A True Tale of Dope, Dirty Money and the CIA, W.W. 1970s and 1980s, PANAMA

For more than a decade, Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega was a highly paid CIA asset and collaborator, despite knowledge by U. S. drug authorities as early as 1971 that the general was heavily involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. Noriega facilitated ''guns-for-drugs" flights for the contras, providing protection and pilots, as well as safe havens for drug cartel otficials, and discreet banking facilities. U.S. officials, including then-ClA Director William Webster and several DEA officers, sent Noriega letters of praise for efforts to thwart drug trafficking (albeit only against competitors of his Medellin Cartel patrons). The U. S. government only turned against Noriega, invading Panama in December 1989 and kidnapping the general once they discovered he was providing intelligence and services to the Cubans and Sandinistas. Ironically drug trafficking through Panama increased after the US invasion. 1959 First reports of permanent motor dysfunction linked to neuroleptics, later named tardive dyskinesia.

1960 French physicians describe a potentially fatal toxic reaction to neuroleptics, later named neuroleptic malignant syndrome.

1962 California Mental Hygiene Department determines that chlorpromazine and other neuroleptics prolong hospitalization.

1963 Six-week NIMH collaborative study concludes that neuroleptics are safe and effective “antischizophrenic” drugs.

In 2005, this writer penned ‘The Real Reason Marijuana is Illegal’ and it became (by far) my most popular article. Translated into Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, Swedish, Bulgarian and even Japanese, the responses were overwhelming. Its premise was ‘marijuana’ became illegal NOT because it was a danger to the mind and body. No, the real reason is that Big Business wants us to use petrochemicals and fossil fuels. They have little interest in NATURAL solutions. THEY have suppressed the truth concerning cannabis and purposely created the ‘menace of marijuana.’ Why? So they remain high profiteers while destroying our environment in the process.

Once people read the news of what has been kept from them, the truth, the reactions were outrage and disbelief at our federal authorities. Hemp used properly for all of its INDUSTRIAL purposes, as it was always meant to be utilized, could…

SAVE THE WORLD! We need not cut down another tree. We need not have to rely on Oil Companies anymore.

So many people wrote to me and said the suppression of hemp is ‘insane.’ Surely, governments know the potential of pot. They understand how cannabis hemp could solve the energy crisis; they know biodegradable plastics could be produced from the hemp plant; they realize it would be a safer, cleaner world filled with (inexpensive) quality products…if only we were federally given the green light to INDUSTRIALIZE HEMP! Governments are well aware of the MEDICINAL value for ‘weed.’ New cloths, papers and plastics would be super durable. They could easily create nutritional FOOD products for a starving world. BUT…when did a better mousetrap ever see the light of day?

Now, with soaring gas prices bleeding us for every dollar inflating all prices, we need a cheap (renewable) fuel and energy source more than ever. Imagine hemp gas. The price of it would not be sky high since we have a limitless supply of hempen energy. Federal (guarded) hemp fields could be farmed and directed to produce a cheap/clean gasoline. Hemp fibers and oil were utilized during WWII for rope-moorings, parachutes and lubrication. Why not use hemp gasoline NOW when we are at another critical point in time? Why does hemp technology remain clandestine?

Why is there a war in the Middle East over oil? Do you really think it’s a coincidence that George Bush is an oilman and remains steadfast against bringing our troops home? Hemp petroleum is the way to alleviate us from dependency on foreign oil. That is a wonderful dream, cannabis as the means to bring our troops home!

Email replies to the original article mainly asked WHY? Why don’t the authorities appreciate the profits to be made from hemp products? Money rules the world, so why don’t the industrialists make it legal? Tax hemp, regulate it, make it legal not for altruistic purposes but for their own high profits! The planet and its people would be much healthier. Why the HELL isn’t this done?

There are no easy answers. Generally, my reply to these readers scratching their befuddled heads was ‘secret societies.’ We are not educated on how the world really functions. We grow up watching movies and television where the good guys always win. We are trained to think that our government is good and out for the benefit of all. Films portray the heroes as CIA, FBI, NSA agents or obedient soldiers and police. We are given the false hope that governments care. Please do not be so naïve as to think this is true.

The above scripture comes from the book of Revelation, the final book of God's word, which deals with the end-time. One might expect murder, fornication, and theft to be widespread sins in the last days because we see a continual increase of these sins with every passing year. But notice that a fourth sin is mentioned as well: sorcery. According to God's word, we can expect to see an increase in sorcery as the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ draws near.

According to Webster, the word "sorcery" means "magic; use of drugs (pharmacy) ; enchantment; witchcraft; divination by the assistance or the supposed assistance of evil spirits, or the power of commanding evil spirits."

One does not have to look very far to see that God's word is being fulfilled before our very eyes. Along with numerous other Biblical signs that our Lord's return is near, we are also witnessing a tremendous increase in occultism. Much of this is obviously due to the way many books, movies, and television programs are glamorizing such evil practices as witchcraft and wizardry. God's word clearly condemns all such practices, yet millions of people, especially young people, are being led to believe that it is possible to be a good witch or a good wizard. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The British attempted to subdue and take control of Afghanistan twice:

1) in 1839 and withdrew in 1842 and
2) then again in 1878.

In 1880 Abdur Rahman Khan became emir. The British government recognised his authority over its internal affairs and in return he had to give Britain control of Afghanistan's foreign relations. In 1919 Afghanistan became fully independent.

Afghanistan is the source of approximately 80% of the world's "illegal"* opium according to recent reports.

* "Illegal" opium is that opium not controlled by the drug kings - the giant pharmaceutical companies. That is why the major "Illegal" drug dealers are only called "drug barons", rather than drug kings, because the pharmaceutical companies and their owners who decide what is "legal" and what is "illegal" and make their own laws up to stop the freelance competition are the drug kings.

The Opium War 1839 - 1842 between China and Britain, where China was fighting to stop the British from importing opium into China was exactly the same time as the first Afghan War 1839 - 1842 to obtain and control all the opium they wanted to sell to the Chinese.

Coincidence? Not likely. Also, Afghanistan borders with China in the north-east of the country and so could be easily exported over the border straight into China.

Drugs companies 'inventing diseases to boost their profits'

  PHARMACEUTICAL companies are systematically creating diseases in order to sell more of their products, turning healthy people into patients and placing many at risk of harm, a special edition of a leading medical journal claims today.

The practice of “diseasemongering” by the drug industry is promoting non-existent illnesses or exaggerating minor ones for the sake of profits, according to a set of essays published by the open-access journal Public Library of Science Medicine.

The special issue, edited by David Henry, of Newcastle University in Australia, and Ray Moynihan, an Australian journalist, reports that conditions such as female sexual dysfunction, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and “restless legs syndrome” have been promoted by companies hoping to sell more of their drugs.

Other minor problems that are a normal part of life, such as symptoms of the menopause, are also becoming increasingly “medicalised”, while risk factors such as high cholesterol levels or osteoporosis are being presented as diseases in their own right, according to the editors.

Tamiflu was developed several years ago after lab tests showed it slowed the replication of viruses in the lab dish. Tests in humans showed it reduced the normal 5 to 7 day course of Flu by 1.5 to 2.5 days.

It did not prevent, cure nor reduce the effects of Flu. At best it is a palliative or pain reliever to "treat the symptoms," but not cure to the disease.

Most medical doctors mistakenly believe in the "anti-body" response of the immune system as the method by which the body fights viral infections. But not so. The body causes a fever above 101 degrees which stops the telemeres on the ends of the virus from allowing any viral replication.

The fever is the human or mammalian body's primary generalized immune system response to any viral infection. Any palliative treatment which reduces the fever of flu infections will prolong the infection and may lead to irreparable damage or death, mostly from the resulting viral pneumonia. But the pneumonia was caused by lowering the fever and allowing uncontrolled viral replication in the lungs. Most cold and flu medications, including aspirin and Tamiflu are in this palliative class.

In the last two years, doctors have been treating patients who have H5N1 Bird Flu. The results are that 50% or half of the treated patients die of viral pneumonia. Were the deaths caused by a "new" more virulent strain of Bird Flu or was it the "new" use of a new anti-viral called Tamiflu? A good doctor would know the difference...

Eli Lilly's Strattera Fails Miserably in Swedish Clinical Trials

The famous Swedish Professor in Psychiatry Christopher Gillberg is doing a clinical trial for Lilly. They are testing Strattera for adults. Strattera is a failed antidepressant, which Lilly didn't succeed to get out on the market. It was recycled as an "ADHD medication". The drug is not approved in Sweden; can only be prescribed after special approval from the MPA.

Lilly wants this changed. To get the drug approved would mean a lot of money. Gillberg is also helping Lilly to create a market for Strattera - he says that 2-4 percent of all adults in the country are suffering from a "clinical severe form" of ADHD. There are in other words many candidates for Strattera.

This was a longitudinal study of patients, some schizophrenic, some not, from the beginning of their treatment with neuroleptics until 5 years later. Before and after scans of the brain were done using computed tomography (CT). The finding was that diagnosis had no significant impact on the development of frontal atrophy, but that “the estimated risk of atrophy increases by 6.4% for each additional 10 g neuroleptic drug.”

Dear friends,

The CIA has been involved in developing sophisticated mind control programs since the early 1950s. MKULTRA is the most infamous of these, yet thanks to a virtual media blackout on the subject, very few people are aware of any of these disturbing programs. In a rare recent article in the Washington Post (see below), a few of the many disturbing aspects of MKULTRA are discussed. The article is an obituary for John K. Vance, a member of the CIA inspector general's staff in the early 1960s who discovered that the CIA was secretly conducting illegal mind control activities in MKULTRA.

Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), government documents dealing with MKULTRA and other secret mind control programs are now available to the public. In 1973, tipped off about forthcoming congressional investigations, CIA Director Richard Helms ordered the destruction of all MKULTRA records. Fortunately, 20,000 pages <http://www.wanttoknow.info/mindcontrol10pg#ciadocs worth of MKULTRA documents contained in the CIA's financial records were overlooked. Though only a small fraction of the original documentation, these surviving documents reveal highly disturbing operations in which unknowing citizens were subjected not only to LSD, but also to radiation, lethal biological agents, and even torture for reasons of "national security."

Before reading the Washington Post article below, here are a few sentences from an FOIA document written by the Inspector General of the CIA about MKULTRA . To read the original document online, click here .

"The concepts involved in manipulating behavior are found by many people both within and outside the Agency [CIA] to be distasteful and unethical. Nevertheless, there have been major accomplishments both in research and operational employment. Many additional avenues to the control of human behavior have been designated under the MKULTRA charter, including radiation, electro-shock, and harassment substances. Some activities raise questions of legality implicit in the original charter. A final phase of the testing places the rights and interests of US citizens in jeopardy. [The MKULTRA program] has pursued a philosophy of minimum documentation in keeping with the high sensitivity of the projects. Some files contained little or no data at all. There are just two individuals who have full knowledge of the MKULTRA program, and most of that knowledge is unrecorded."

John K. Vance; Uncovered LSD Project at CIA

John K. Vance, 89, a member of the Central Intelligence Agency inspector general's staff in the early 1960s who discovered that the agency was running a research project that included administering LSD and other drugs to unwitting human subjects, died May 27 of respiratory arrest.

He died at the Wilson Health Care Center of Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg.

Code-named MKULTRA (and pronounced m-k-ultra), the project Mr. Vance uncovered was the brainchild of CIA Director Allen Dulles, who was intrigued by reports of mind-control techniques allegedly conducted by Soviet, Chinese and North Korean agents on U.S. prisoners of war during the Korean War. The CIA wanted to use similar techniques on its own POWs and perhaps use LSD or other mind-bending substances on foreign leaders, including Cuba's Fidel Castro a few years after the project got underway in 1953.

Credible sources who were close to Gary Webb have stated that he was receiving death threats, being regularly followed, and that he was concerned about strange individuals who were seen on multiple occasions breaking into and leaving his house before his apparent 'suicide' on Friday morning.

Webb, a Pullitzer prize winning journalist, exposed CIA drug trafficking operations in a series of books and reports for the San Jose Mercury News. He was found dead on Friday morning in what the police said was an apparent suicide.

Webb's 1996 series in the Mercury News alleged that Nicaraguan drug traffickers had sold tons of crack cocaine in Los Angeles and funneled millions of dollars in profits to the CIA-supported Nicaraguan Contras during the 1980s
