1. Any experienced programmer could use a common flat file database to accept entries into columns and rows, like a paper ballot, add up those rows, and record the totals for each column, and print out hardcopy for each voter and for election officials.
2. This simple database could be open source for anyone to examine for its accuracy and reliability, and lack of back doors for funny stuff. And the feds could require it to be uniform and mandatory for all states, and allow anyone to examine the code.
3. But the touch screen corporations all had to create secret, proprietary code that's protected by law so no one could ever see whether it would alter individual votes internally or alter totals recorded, or see if it was programmed to test accurate for election officials beforehand and only alter the numbers on Election Day.
4. Those touch screen machines won't print hardcopy records of votes, even where states require recounts in certain situations and need hardcopy ballot records.
5. The three major touch screen machine corporations are all owned by diehard Republicans.
6. The Republican controlled Congress and White House legislated the new voting law that subsidized states to purchase these Republican owned touch screen machines.

LONDON, England (CNN) -- A devil-worshipping sailor in the Royal Navy has become the first registered Satanist in the British Armed Forces.

Chris Cranmer, 24, a technician serving on the Type 22 frigate Cumberland, has been officially recognized as a Satanist by the ship's captain.

That allows him to perform satanic rituals aboard and permits him to have a non-Christian Church of Satan funeral should he be killed in action.

A spokesman for Britain's Ministry of Defence told CNN Sunday that it had a duty to allow members of the forces to practice their religion.

PARIS - France is checking whether it can take legal action against a leading far-right politician who has questioned whether the Nazis used gas chambers in the Holocaust, Justice Minister Dominique Perben said on Thursday.

Recently, within a defense bill on Capitol Hill another bill was hidden. This hidden attachment pertains to so-called "hate crimes." The bill is Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act (S. 933), a pro-homosexual hate crimes bill. The Defense bill with the 'hate crime' attachment passed the senate 65 to 33, and will now be going to the house. What does this mean? Simply put, it permits the GOVERNMENT to decide what is a hate crime. The measure also extends into our freedom of speech. EVERYONE should be aware, that almost anything you do or say can be construed as a 'hate crime' by someone, somewhere if that person or group chooses to silence the views and thoughts you are discussing. We've already seen the Patriot Act abused during the RNC, as over 1000 Americans have been arrested merely for expressing their rights of free speech and dissent as AMERICANS. Now, if the DOJ couples this new bill with the Patriot Act, we are in grave trouble. Remember that most all acts are named after WHO THE 'ACT' IS AGAINST: Riot Act - Against riots in public RICO Act - Racketeering and organized crime Patriot Act - Against patiots, and those that refuse to believe it you can read the act online at sites like infowars.com. Legislation that would make Holocaust-denial committed overseas an offense under Israeli legal jurisdiction was approved unanimously in first reading by the Knesset on Tuesday.

The passage of the measure would enable Israel to demand the extradition of Holocaust-deniers for prosecution.

The bill was drafted by MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) as a move against former Palestinian Authority prime minister Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) for his doctoral dissertation 20 years ago in which he estimated that the Nazis killed less than a million Jews.

It is likely to serve as a deterrence against Holocaust-deniers visiting Israel, although the possibility of countries consenting to extradition on the offense is unlikely.

The legislation expands the territorial jurisdiction of the Israeli law against Holocaust-denying outside of it borders.
